The Summer Sun and Fun suite contains two poems that capture very different sides of summer: one bursting with comic chaos, the other quieter and more reflective.

A hilarious day at the community pool erupts into pandemonium when Baxter, an escaped Labradoodle, crashes the party and turns an ordinary afternoon into aquatic mayhem. But when a young boy becomes trapped underwater, the troublemaking dog unexpectedly becomes the hero, proving that heroes sometimes arrive wet, furry, and completely uninvited.

A tender poem about two children who meet unexpectedly on a summer beach and spend one perfect afternoon building a magnificent sandcastle together. When the new friend never returns, the memory becomes a gentle reminder that some friendships may last only a few hours, yet the joy created by sharing a moment can remain for a lifetime.
