A wife (or it could be a daughter with a couple of minor modifications) holds onto a voicemail and won’t delete it after her husband’s death, much to the chagrin of her family members who love her and want to help her move on with her life. But surprisingly, the voicemail is not sentimental, loving or profound…it’s rather impolite and abrasive—about expired milk. But it reminds her of the man with whom she shared her life in his full authentic self.
